The Graveyard - Section H

The graveyard at Deane is one of the largest Church graveyards in the country, certainly in Lancashire.

It has been divided into areas where graves are usually numbered in rows. They are not, however, consistent in the way that is done.

Section H is divided into four quarters by paths. The numbering of the graves ignores these paths, although one conveniently separates rows 0-3 from 4-7 which are numbered west to east. Graves are numbered 1-40 from south to north.
