The content of the site has been collected from various sources, mostly from old books owned by the St Mary's Church, Deane. Volumes such as "Records and Traditions etc." by James Boardman have now passed out of copyright under the rule of the author having died more than the requisite number of years earlier. Other items were written especially for the church and therefore the copyright remains with the church. Where books have been downloaded from the internet, publishers such as Google Books retain their copyright and notices to that effect are part of the file available for download.
Various elements of the site such as photographs are copyright but can be used for non-profit purposes. Acknowledgement such as "copyright www.deanechurch.co.uk" would be appreciated.
