Field Day
On the Saturday before Sermons Sunday, before the days of the Ladybridge Estate the church organised a day of festivities. It was usually held in a field just off Junction Road near to New York. A brass band was followed by children in fancy dress. Later, we used a field off Beaumont Road and more recently used the old wooden Scout Hut. As with all things, it fell by the wayside.
