Rev. Dr. Terry Clark

The Rev'd. Dr. Terrence Paul Clark BSc.(Leeds), DPhil.(Oxon), PGCE, CTh. followed Rev. Ian Mainey with his Induction on 1st February 2010.

In May 2012 Terry had been noticed and was appointed Area Dean of Deane, succeeding the Revd. Canon Roger Cooper.

Part of the Church of England's plan for the future was to reduce the number of stipendiary clergy. For several years the Parish had close links with St Thomas & St John (Lostock), St Bede (Morris Green) and our outreach church St Andrew(Over Hulton). There was a reduction in clergy which left St Bede and St John with one vicar. When that vicar moved on, Terry was appointed as Priest-in-Charge of St Thomas & St John (Lostock) in September 2016 and the vicar at St Andrew (Over Hulton), Revd. John Armstrong took on St Bede (Morris Green). At the end of 2017, John announced his final service would be on Easter Sunday, 1st April, as he would be moving to be the new vicar of St Mary's, Wombwell with St George's, Jump, near Barnsley in Sheffield Diocese. This move again added to the responsibilities of Terry.
