M.A. Instituted on 28th December 1914 the Military Cross (M.C.) is the third level military decoration awarded to Officers. This decoration was awarded to Henry Lindsay for an act or acts of exemplary gallantry during active operations against the enemy. Gazetted Second Lieutenant, 4th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment in September 1914, promoted Lieutenant 17/07/1915 and to Captain 10/10/1915. Shot through the head and instantly killed. |
