Notes: Son of Alderman William Rimmer and Rebecca Stanley Rimmer (nee Gibbs), of “Wyndene”, New Hall Lane, Bolton, Lancashire. Enlisted August 1914 as a Private in the East Lancashire Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps. Contracted enteric fever and invalided home. Returned to England December 1916 for training and commissioned 22/07/1917. Died at Langemarck.
