Parents: Karl and Jessie Domhard of 1 Apple Street, Bolton
Census (1900) shows Karl and Jessie to be German and living at 80 Bull Lane, Bolton (Bradford Ward) with children Annie (16), Emma (12), Ellen (10), Charles A. (4), James (2) and a Boarder, Norman Schrooter (18).
It appears Pte Domhard changed Units as can be seen from a record card.

Son of Karl (Charles) and Gesine (Jessie) Domhard, of 1, Apple Street, Bolton, Lancashire, and formerly of 37, Ninehouse Lane, Bolton, Lancashire, and 131, Rishton Lane, Bolton, Lancashire. Previously enlisted at Bolton 15/09/1915 as Private 6848, 5th Bn., Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Transferred to 42nd Provision Bn 15/05/1916 until discharged as medically unfit 22/11/1916. Subsequently re-enlisted Welsh Regiment and transferred to Training Reserve Bn. Home service only on both periods of service. Died in hospital at Kinmel Park, Rhyl.
